Bethany Freel is an American Council on Exercise certified Personal Trainer, PoleMoves certified Pole Instructor, and Nia (Neuromuscular Integrative Action) White belt. She has lived in Alaska for the last 11 years where she is an engineer and pole instructor. Bethany has been involved in athletics and strength training for much of her life from recreational and competitive sport to compulsive training and overtraining. With the desire to become a superb, fit athlete, she worked out long and hard. She always ran the extra mile and pushed through the pain, only to see stagnated results and persistent injury. Through research, experiences in pole and training, and a journey of personal growth, she has emerged from the damaging and unnecessary practice of overtraining with a passion for learning and spreading the word regarding optimum training practice, overtraining, intuitive-ness in exercise, and body respect.
